I know I am way too early for South side but I was reading manual and saw that there's no Step for Antifreeze Coolant that I've seen in most of the winterization discussion.

Has this been changed in new boats?

1) Propulsion System (Seems very easy)
2) Fuel System (Seems easy)
3) Exhaust System Protection (I'm thinking to perform this using Flushing connector procedure)
4) Engine Coolant replacement (Don't think I'd need it but I"ll still go thru the step)
5) Engine Internal Lube

and few other steps Battery, anticorrosion treatment.

Step 4 covers the Antifreeze procedure. But I think it's little different than older boats where you had to perform the steps different.

I just found more information that we really don't need put "pink" antifreeze through this boat.. Based on the owner manual and shop manual.. cranking up the engine and ExhaustSystem Flushing should be more than good enough...

Anyone wants to shed more light on this step?

I was under the impression that we really didnt need to do anything to winterize, except rev the engine to flush the exhaust.

I think you are right. I shouldn't be reading Winterization thread since they might be for older model.

I think that's all they are recommending

BRP FUEL STABILIZER
XPS LUBE
rev the engine

Only this part confused me in the shop/owner manual. But when I went through the Maintenance Procedure, all they are asking to run Fresh Water for exhaust system flushing.

I got confused with this part:
Exhaust System Protection

In areas where temperature may freeze, water trapped in the exhaust system and intercooler must be removed. Using the flushing connector on jet pump support, inject pressurized air (around 689 kPa (100 PSI)) into system until there is no more water flowing from the jet pump.

mine's not intercooled, and i don't use salt water, so i'm good. You prob just need to flush it out and let it dry. You're not up in the north where it gets crazy cold.

Thanks CYcleguy... I don't run in salt water either but I'll still run the fresh water before I store it (I'm sure home water can't be fresh than Lake fresh water hehe)... It seems like a long time before I do it

Not to sure about this but does blowing air through it clean the water out of the intercooler and the exhaust system.

I have a 2009 180SE and the manual does not call for antifreeze to winterize. There is some blowing out with air required (flushing connector) and the intercooler needs to be partially removed and tipped over to remove any water in it (although there usually is none). I followed the manual and have had no problems and it gets darn cold in the winter up here in Canada. I would trust the manual.

Engine coolant replacement - I believe it would be overkill to do this every fall. Does your manual call for it that often?

Engine Coolant replacement -- It expects you to check with hydrometer to be sure, it's in good condition. So I agree that I won't be doing this year.

Also, the intercooler removal is for 255HP only or for 215 too?
