I just sold our Seadoo boat to a guy and the boat barely gets on plane and only gets to 5k rpm.

I'm not sure if they have a Eco mode on these 2010's. I think it might be in Eco mode but not 100% sure(waiting on him to get back to me)

No lights on the dash at all. Seems to run fine, just not peak rpms.

Is their a way to reset the ecu(disconnect battery, etc?)?

Of course he is 600kms away from me so hard for me to look at.

Anyone have any clue what he could look at before he takes it to the dealership??!!

Impeller is in mint shape and we noticed some fresh sealant around the housing. Looks like it may have been worked on but I'm doubting cavitation.

Only 49 hours on boat as well!

no lights mean no faults codes? if yes then most likely cavitation

Hmm the impeller is in mint shape! And it looks like its been changed recently. Would it only rev to 5k rpm with cavitation? I would think it would rev right out. But Im not familiar with cavitation.

Its going to the dealer. Hope its something stupid! Thanks!

I once had something stupid happen to mine. Actually it wasn't stupid but the Dealer mechanic surely was!
Severe cavitation at 8 hours - drove 500 kms back to the dealer - mechanic did the 10 hour service etc and pronounced it good - drove it 500km back to the lake - put it in tthe water and same problem! - local marina mechanic pulled a small stick out through the ride plate grated - problem solved - have a good look for something, any little thing lodged in the jet pump.

It turned out to be a crappy battery that wouldnt hold a charge! New battery and it runs perfect!

Thanks...Colin
