2009 Sea-Doo Speesdter 255 HP max rpm issues.

I noticed that I am not getting 8000 rpm's out of this boat. The most that I seem to be getting is 7800 rpm. Is this normal?

I notice that if I ever put anything lower than 91 or higher octane fuel...or if I have been in the weeds!

Not sure on the RPM... I know I have seen in 7800-7900 for sure! Speed I hit 56.. I had 93 octane in.. The supercharger was sounding sweet

do you use ethynol free gas?

Just replaced my stock impeller/wear ring due to a rock doing a little damage and did my first oil change. Took it out for a test run and hit 8100 rpm and 61mph... wow! It blew me away how smooth it is now. No upgrades.. just good maintenance helps I guess.

Are you talking 61mph on the dash, or on a GPS?

I did GPS it. The actual digital gauge said 60mph.. so it's fairly accurate ...believe it or not. It was just me on the boat too.

hmmmph. when the boat was newer i would always get 64mph on the dash, and now I get no more than 60mph on dash, did yours do the same? And i've never used a GPS, but I want to.

Well it's still pretty new .. only 9 hours on it!
