2009 RXT 255 iS left side VTS & Cruise buttons not functional????

I recently purchased a 2009 Seadoo iS RXT255. The machine runs fine. But I can not get the left side handlebar VTS switch (both up and down) and the cruise button to activate. I have replaced the left switch module and it still does not work. I also tested the switch on the cruise and it is functioning when depressed. The VTS does function, but only by going through the Mode button on the right side and using the up & down buttons on the right side of the handlebar, so I know the actual VTS does work, and the motor and rear module are not bad. I have also tested the switch wires up to the cluster and they have continuity from the switches to the cluster. I have see some old locked down threads on this, but never a reply with what the actual cause of the non function on the cruise and vts buttons was? Has anybody had this occur and what was the fix for it. It appears all the wires from the cruise and the vts buttons run into the dash cluster. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I had that problem before I fixed it by hooking it up to candoo home edition it showed on computer that the VTS was shut off I was able to turn it on with candoo home edition . You will either have to take it to dealer and have them hook it up to buds or you can do it yourself but you would have to buy candoo home edition .

Took it in to the dealer already and was told the VTS was activated on it. Still does not work. Apparently this is not like the older RXT and RXP's that the VTS can be activated and deactivated on. The tech advised me it is activated automatically on this model, there is no screen to activate it on the buds system.
