08 model....
With the economy........I'd go with the 08. Yeah, it's got a higher number on the horsepower, but I don't think that little bit extra is going to make a big deal, especially when your looking at 7 or 8k difference in savings. Right now, money is tight.
On the other hand, you can probably barter for a really good deal for the new boat, since most dealerships are in a huge slump from the slowdown in the economy............:cheers:

Snipe, I agree with you on the dealer slump. They are in total survival mode right now. Seadoo is also subsidizing deals. If your in the market for a boat you can almost name your price. The sky is falling in this industry. I feel guilty to some degree because so many are struggling right now. I hope things turn for everyone soon.

i went for the 09 SE with 510hp.. its not just the power, i would say the hole boat stands 10 steps higher on the quality stairs compared to the 08. before you order a 08 you MUST have a look at the 09s, so many new and upgraded stuff.. just look at the chairs/interior... a new world in my opinion.
and as you all write, go and dump the dealer! i just got mine for a blow off price, so low i cant write it.
just think of the value it will have in 2-3 years. the econemy will be up again ( or getting there) and the ask for quality will rule again.

That is way too much coming out of 3 litres. Plain and simple. I am also into dune buggies, they get 400 HP from a Subaru 2.5 litre BUT race gas is required, and the engines go about 200 hrs max before they need rebuilding.
Race gas is 6 dollars a gallon, in 55 gallon drums.
Dont tell me Bombardier builds better engines than Subaru either !

i have had a few doos in the past and the best engine i have ever had was in the RXP-X. so damn smooth... ok, also thirsty :cheers:
that was my main reason to get the 510hp option.
