In the engine compartment of my 2009 speedster 150 255 hp I found a rubber strap lying aroun. I tried to see where this belonged and looked to see if anything was loose and I couldn't find anything. Does anyone know what this rubber strap is supposed to hold in place?

If it is a rubber strap that is about 12-15 inches long with metal clips on both ends or once had clips but they tore off, it is most likely the rubber strap that holds the muffler in place. Look closely at the large exhaust tube (looks like a sideways tube tank), and there should be mounting points on both sides for the strap to hold it on. I have been through a few of those as they are under a lot of stress.
