Hey guys, I just got out on the water and this thing is kinda stumbling. The idle is a bit jumpy and for the first few minutes I couldn't get it to hit 6000 rpm.

After awhile it finally hit top speed/rpm. But it is still stumbling a bit here and there.

I am out on the water as we speak. And am trying to figure this out. Not sure where to start though. No codes have come up. And I am about to start pulling and inspecting plugs

Thanks for any help

Thanks for the reply. Sorry it's taken awhile to get back to this thread. I couldn't get the plugs out on the water. They were in there very very tight. We sorta limped it home.

When it's at full throttle it runs great. But when at any position other than that it would still stumble. Very frustrating. It's not bad gas cause I have gone through a couple tanks of non-ethanol 89 octane marina gas.

But I did finally pull the plugs. They don't look bad at all really.

something else going on.
intercooler leaking water? some intercoolers were know to condensate or leak water into motor.
other wise could be electrical

if electrical it would throw a fault though. (doubting electrical)

Damn, I hope it isn't that. I doubt that it is though. At full throttle, and the IC leaking water into the engine, I dont think it would run. Or it would hydro lock, wouldn't it?

Anyways, I put new plugs in it anyways. Tomorrow I am taking it out on the river.

Keeping my fingers crossed!!

I bet you it's the ignition coils...my did the same thing first run out this season and felt like bad gas..kinda sputtered then did fine but back and forth...got throw a quarter tank and did good...the following week. Did the same thing for a few mins then perfect for like 20 mins..got a check engine code for ignitor coil #2...changed plugs and the ignition coil and taking it out tomorrow to see if it happens again...best of luck..ignition coils are 112$ a piece.

Took her out today and she was awesome. It was the plugs after all. Amazes me that they would cause that as clean as they were.

Thanks for the responses guys. I'm glad it wasn't the coils.
