Hi, this is my first post here I need some help with our family speedster.

It is a 150 with the supercharged motor. The plate that secures the release handle for the rear hood seems to have broken. I looked through the diagrams and could not find a part number or where to find this particular piece.

Anyone know the part I am looking for? I have attached a picture to better show what I am trying to find. You will notice the top plastic piece is still intact, but the other half of what I assume is a sandwich is missing.

Thanks,

Is this what you are looking for? Part number 4 Latch Cover Cable 204070081 Make sure to double check that the cable comes with the handle.

The sponsor on this site also has it, but the picture is not as good.

You might get one cheaper on ebay or try posting a want to buy thread and someone might have a used one for you. PM Minnetonka he might have one but he does mostly skis, not sure who on the forum carries a good inventory of boat parts.

Welcome to the forum and good luck

Thanks,

I found the issue, there is a plastic hex nut that comes on the cable. Mine had loosened itself and fell far down the cable. All it took was tightening this back down and everything is back to normal.

For anyone else's reference, that plastic washer and plate do come with the replacement cable, according to my local shop.

I have the same issue with my Sea Doo 150. The problem in my case is the plastic thread for the plastic hex nut is too short to hold on causing it to let go when I pull the cable. Bad design in my opinion. The replacement cable is $85 and who knows if the thread for the hex nut is longer.
