I have a 2008 speedster 150 with 14 hours on it.
I just noticed stress cracks,(the dealer calls them) inside the boat in front of the seats by the cup holders, on the floor.
He says this is normal, I disagree.
Anyone have them in their boat, you have to look close.
And is this normal.
Thanks for your help

If I'm not mistaken, I think there is a 1 -800 # Help line in your owners Manual, I would check that out, I know the crackes would make me wonder.

I got them 2

Same place on my 2005 sportster 215. Just in front of the seats on the floor hair line stress cracks. Did some searching and we are not alone but was not able to find any word if Seadoo will own up to this. If you do please let me know.

I also have (08) speedster with hairline stress cracks in the same place, was told it is normal. Doesnt seem to be structural.

if you have stress cracks in the gel coat then most likely the fiberglass underneith it is thinner in that spot and it must have flexed at some point. although gel coat appears to be a very hard substance, its not. the only strength it has is the fiberglass under it. i would bring it up to the dealer that you think there wasnt enough fiberglass in that spot and you dont want it to get worse and see where it gets you.

From playing with seadoo's... it's normal... but I don't think it's right. If you spent a butt load of $$$ on a new boat... they should fix it. But the real problem is... once it's fixed, the cracks will just show up again.

In an attempt to make the boat light... they have made it flexible. The gel coat is stiff, like an egg shell, but the glass is slightly flexible.

Mechanically, your boat is fine.

I will say this... there have been members here that fought SeaDoo on this, and they have gotten the boat fixed, but you have to go straight to Bombardier with the problem.
