Just got my 2008 Speedster 150 back from Reno's Powersports KC service department. I couldn't be happier.
I learned a long time ago that I'm not a mechanic and I can do more harm to an engine than good so I take my machines to the professionals. Here's the deal, you don't make films and commercials and I won't play mechanic. Here's the weird thing, I love knowing how things are fixed properly so I've had a ball listening to the pros from this forum explain how to fix Sea-doo boats and engines.
I just bought this boat, so this was the first time a real mechanic took a look.
You guessed it, needed a new wear ring, the reverse cable bushing was gone, the intake grate had been improperly repaired and was missing screws, starter relay was bad, and I had the 100 hour oil, coolant, spark plugs and filters repair. The mechanic, Brian, was very thorough and knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything to me. I don't feel like I paid too much and I surely don't feel like I paid too little, so I went away feeling I'd been treated fairly by a true professional at a good dealership.
Took my little Sea-doo straight to the nearest lake and she was purring. Wow, what a difference when your boat is taken care of by a professional.
Don't know if this helps the forum in any way, but I just thought that us DIY impaired should thank real mechanics.
