I just purchased this boat and will have it shipped to me next week. Do the superchargers have the ceramic washers that would need replaced? The previous owner knew nothing of this and never had that work performed on it.

in 2008... they were supposed to be the new tool steel washers. BUT... we have seen plenty of them with ceramic. If the last guys was the original owner, and they haven't been changed... just plan on having it done. (it's cheaper than a new engine)

As noted. In 08 they were suppose to no longer be installed. The reality is that a decent amount if the 08's still got them.

Sadly, you might as well open them up to find out. More sadly, you have info both as you can not tell if one is old stock and one is newer stock.

I bet it will run fantastic though.

I have two skis, one is an RXT-X with the 255 SC. It runs fantastic. Even stock I hit 72 mph all day long if I want it.

You found one huh? Where did ya find it at?

Found it in Phoenix. Flew into Phoenix yesterday morning and got home this evening. Quick trip. I'll have someone ship it to me this week. Should have it by the weekend if everything goes well. As long as I have it by July 4th.

Still have my 98 though. Hoping it sells soon. About to change the fuel sender in it this weekend. Can I use fuel line that can be bought at an Auto parts store like Autozone? Figured I'd change the fuel lines too.

He was the original owner. The boat has 32 hours on it. Is it expensive to have the dealer do this? Is it easy enough for me to do this? Where do I purchase the steel washers?

iwould pull one sc and go look on gh to compare your washers to determine which ones you have. pulling the sc is a fairly simple thing you can do yourself.

Don't want to be harsh... but we don't send people to other boards. That in the user agreement. AND... that's normally on any chat board. But... since this is a friendly board... the first warning is just an FYI.

Besides... we can tell on this board too.

It's real easy to tell. The tool steel washers are steel. They will have a shiny, metallic edge. Also... a magnet will be pulled on nice and tight. The ceramic washers will have a gray/green color to them, and have no real magnetic remanence.
