2008 RXT X 255 starting / idle issues

I’m having issues starting the seadoo.

Last time I used it, no issues at all. It has 99 hours on it.

A few days after, I went to start it, turns trying to start but won’t. I decide to put new spark plug but the issue persists. When I feed gas it will start but runs rough like it runs on 2 cylinders. I did check the fuses, all are good. I have tried to start it after a couple days and when I went to start, it did a backfire like there was to much gas in the cylinder.

Any thoughts, thanks.

Backfires can happen when to much gas is in exhaust because you have a dead coil or bad spark plug.
Start by changing the plugs.

Look for cracks in the rubber sleeve between the spark plug and the coil.

Obtain a compression tester, test it while you have the plugs out. You can loan one for free from most nationwide auto part stores.

If you get it running but is still not right unplug the coil low voltage wires one at a time to see which one is not firing.
