All,
Hopefully someone has input on this puzzling problem. Yesterday I dropped my boat in the water it fired up and ran perfect. Docked it for about 10 minutes, and then started it up again without a problem. I then shut if off for a minute to wait for someone else to join us on the boat. When I then went to restart the boat it would turn over, however it would not start. I tried to over and over again to start the boat, and it simply would not start even though it was turning over like normal. Here is what I checked:
* Changed plugs
* Check fuses
* I even temporarily bypassed the neutral safety switch
* The tank is full so I am not out of gas
* Verified I had spark for each cylinder, I could also see gas coming from cylinder during this test, hence it doesn't appear to be the fuel pump.
* I pulled off the air filter to ensure I could feel suction in the intake when cranking
Anyone have other ideas? The boat is still in the water so I couldn't do a thorough inspection on the jet pump to see if sucked something in. I don't have experience with how the boat behaves under this circumstance so not sure if this is even reasonable.
Thanks for any input!
