2008 Challenger 230 gear/throttle

I may have posted 1st thread in wrong place! I have a 2008 Challenger 230 430hp and am having problems locking gear to enable throttle adjustment, sometimes requires 2 hands to force gear lever forward to unlock throttle.
Is there a conversion available to the newer current style of single stick combined gear/throttle as per 2011 210 model?
I am based in Australia and love the boat, any assistance will be greatly appreciated

Have you tried the locking adjustment screw within the throttle housing? I had a similar issue and adjusted the screw; no problems since (09 230 se)
