Hey guys,

New to the forum. I posted in the Meet and Greet some of my newbie mistakes... Read it if you want a good laugh~!

When I click the rocker switch for the engine compartment blower motor, nothing happens. I was going to start at the blower itself but I can find it!

Can someone post a pic for me?

Thanks,

I read your meet and greet and didn't laugh. This is NOT funny. I hope you learn real fast before you hurt yourself or a member of your family. You must have a buddy or friend to show you the correct and safe way to launch and retrieve your boat. Also, please take a Coast Guard approved safety course before you hurt yourself or worse a family member.

PS: The blower is in the engine compartment on the starboard side wall. Most likely a blown fuse or poor connection.

If you do not have the repair manual for your boat, you can always search the parts with the parts link at the top of the page. You can easily find most items you need by searching there. Look for the corrugated tubing going to the blower:

Thanks for the replies guys~! Thanks to your description rcguy, I was able to find it.
I thought that I had checked the fuse, but I will check again. Thanks for the tip for looking up parts JPass - I was looking, but I was searching for "blower" instead of "fan"...

rcguy ~ I appreciate your concern. Trust me, I'm a pretty careful guy - I'm a 43 yr. old engineer. I'm not doing anything to put me or my family in harm. We're filing float plans, wearing life vests, taking the needed precautions... But I mean, c'mon - who hasn't had a few issues loading their first boat or running out of gas? I thought it was pretty funny myself....

I got this man, I just need a few practices out there...

Thanks~!

Couldn't find a better post but need some advice. I just started the 180 challenger after its winter storage and none of the toggle switches will work (blower/bilge/horn etc) I reset the main fuse and that didn't do anything. Boat starts up fine (in the yard on a hose) but those rocker switches do not work. I checked the fuses and they all seem okay. Any advice?

I'm an idiot apparently. I flipped the fuse reset into the incorrect position thinking it was wrong at first. Clicked it back into position and everything works.
