2008 230 challenger ski pylon springs?

My ski pylon bent a while ago, dealer replaced but the pylon will no longer stay up. Looking at it, it looks like there should be clips or some other device in the half moon shape slots cut into the pylon tube. Can anyone enlighten me as to what should be there to hold the pylon up?

there should be a metal spring clip held on by a rubber band in the top slot, it will catch the groove in your pylon to hold it up,
