OK....maybe I'm completely losing it but I've got a question. Why is the BRP oil so expensive and could you not use conventional 10W 40 conventional/mineral motor oil. I'm looking to order on-line and see this stuff at 9 bucks a quart ? Fools gold or really worth it. I don't want to be cheap but if it's just BRP putting their label on it and a mark-up I'm not interested.
It looks like full syn is out of the question with the SC engine. Also appears they have cornered the market on the filter. Can anyone confirm the the Champion equivalent on the oil filter as well ?
Again got a lot of money invested in this machine and want to maintain it properly but have no interest in making the Stealership or BRP rich in the process. The list prices for these items are out of the universe. Any help is appreciated
