Hello Everyone! I am looking at buying a new 2008 150 Speedster with the 155 hp Rotax engine. Can anyone give me any feedback and/or any reviews? What are the pros and cons? Are there any problems with that year and model? How are the 155 hp Rotax engines? Are there any problems with them? What is fuel economy like and what is the top speed it can travel? What is the maintenance schedule like and is it expensive to maintain? Is there anything else I should know? Sorry for all the questions but this will be my first boat purchase. Thanks!

The 155hp is very easy to maintaince, About the same as a small car. topspeed is about 50-53mph. The 155hp is pretty much bullit proof where as the 215hp can have supercharger problem if not maintained to a T and also need premium where as the 155hp only need regular fuel.

I have this boat. I have nothing to compare it to because it's my 1st boat. So far it is easy to maintain. I've had alot of fun running it for me it goes 40 at top speed but thats plenty fast. I have no regrets so far.

Hi I bought this boat about 1 week ago and have three hours on it. I am a technical guy, but no expert. I spent alot of time researching and decided on this vs. initial cost and projected cost of maintenance. The superchargers seem to have some problems with "washers" that BRP seems to have addressed, but I dont think there is much feedback yet. It is my understanding that supercharger overhaul is around $800 US and regardless of operation becomes "Mandatory" at 100 hours of operation?! I didnt want that expense or to pay for the required use of Premium fuel!
