Need some help folks!

I finally got my new to me 2007 Wake GTX SC into the water this weekend only to have it not start. Just a click of the starter solenoid.
I tried it a few times, no go. Pulled it out, brought it to the shop and tested the battery, full charge. Cleaned cables, and retighten.
Tried firing it up a few times and still just a click. Finally it fired up and I didn't do anything different.

Shut it off and tried again and it would intermittently fire up or just click.

I seem to recall a similar problem with my ATV and I think it was a worn starter.
If it is a starter; How difficult is it to replace the starter?

Any thoughts?
Thanks all,

Gordon

Jump the solenoid. If it cranks every time you jump it, then it is likely the solenoid. If it doesn't crank and you KNOW the battery, connections, and wires are good, then it's likely the starter. This is assuming there is no issue with the MPEM and. no bad fuses.

Just in case you don't have a shop manual handy....

GENERAL
Causes of troubles are not necessarily related to starter but may be due to a burnt fuse, faulty battery, start/stop switch, safety lanyard switch, MPEM, or ECU, DESS auxiliary module on 4-TEC engines, solenoid, electrical cables or connections. Check these components before removing starter. Consult also the starting system troubleshooting table on next page for a general view of possible problems.

Fuse
Make sure the starting system fuse on MPEM is in good condition. The solenoid may be the cause of a burnt fuse. If the solenoid checks good, one of the accessory may be defective.

Battery
To check battery condition, refer to CHARGING SYSTEM.

MPEM/ECU
If 2 short beeps are not heard when installing the safety lanyard, refer to ENGINE MANAGEMENT
section.

Engine Start/Stop Switch and Safety
Lanyard Switch Refer to ENGINE MANAGEMENT section.

Solenoid
NOTE: Solenoid is located in the electrical box for the DI engines and besides the MPEM for 4-TEC
engines.

Inspect connections and clean as necessary.

Static Test: Continuity With a multimeter, check primary winding resistance. It should be approximately 5 Ω (ohms) for the DI engines and 7.2 Ω (ohms) for 4-TEC engines. Measure the resistance value through pins 1 and 2 for 4-TEC engines. 1. Pins 1 and 2 There should be no continuity between the positive posts of the solenoid.

Dynamic Test
Depress start/stop button and measure the voltage on the solenoid positive posts with a multimeter. If there is no voltage and battery is in good condition, replace the solenoid.

Keep a spare on hand. Between myself and my two buddies we have had five four stroke seadoos and every one of them have needed a solenoid. Heck a guy at work had one go bad on a 2014 GTI 130 with 6 hours on it.

Mine is doing the same but no clicking. I can jump it across the solenoid, but the start switch will not engage starter. Once I jump it across the solenoid, the motor runs fine. The stop switch will however kill the engine. Does that mean my switch is bad or the solenoid? Is there a test for the switch?

I replied to your other thread,,, Please keep the question in one place. Multiple post make it confusing and hard to follow..

I will lock this thread..
