I have a 2007 Speedster 215 hp supercharged sea doo boat. Last summer the overheat alarm went off a few times. Nothing stuck in intake. Had only driven a short distance. It doesn't make any sense. Very random. One time I went to a local beach, kept the radio running about an hour, when I left it went off. Ok, so the next time I went to the beach no radio. It went off again. It comes on, then stops ,then comes on again. I'm only 5 minutes from this beach. I replaced the battery and had no problem the first two times out. Problem solved. The third time it went off. Went back to marina and checked battery. Losing charge. Something is draining battery. Took it in for service at dealer. They can't find anything wrong. They said they can't recreate it. Winter came. They have it now and called and said they took it out on river and it ran like a top. They said the rectifier is fine also. Something is draining the battery. It only has 50 hours on it and maybe 2 hours last season because of the problem. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what could cause this? They did see areas in motor where it had got hot. Thanks in advance.

Temp alarm could be the exhasut temp or engine temp. As for the radio going off and on, sounds like a connection. Check all ground and power wires as well as the wires going to the radio. Take a test light with you and next time the radio goes out, test the yellow and red wires on the radio wire harness and see if they still have 12v power. If so the radio is bad, if not you will have to backtrack and see where its loosing power.
