I just purchased a 2007 Speedster Wake 430. We used it a few times last weekend and it ran great. I put it in the water today and the Starboard engine did not want to start and when it would it would shut off after a few seconds. I opened up the hatch and looked in the engine bay and everything was good... I tried to start it again and it fired up and ran fine. It idled foe a few min but when my wife pulled off the trailer it started to smoke and the oil light came on. We took the boat out of the water and back home where I noticed that there was oil spray on top of the engine but could not find the source...

I am set to bring it in to the dealer tomorrow but if anyone has advice it would help!!!

First take a look at the oil level, where is it at?

Second, fire it up (as long as you have oil) with the hatch open and see if you can see where the oil is coming from.

You do not need to be on the hose to let it run for less than a minute..

I'll will give that a try.

Clean it up, confirm oil level and that the oil is clean and not contaminated, go for a ride. 4-tec engines HATE to be overfilled. With oil. Even a 1/4 of a quart makes a difference.

the only thing i can think of is the blow by hose that reconnect back to air intake/filter/silencer. check if the hose is clamped on and hasnt come off. other wise just as coastiejoe has stated.
