At the end of last summer heard a constant humming/buzzing noise coming from engine compartment even with main power switch off (engine not running). No water coming out of bilge outlet but thinking that the bilge pump may be running all the time now. Thinking it could be a relay for the pump or the pump itself. Has anyone had a similar problem? How hard it is to change out the bilge pump or find and test the relay. If the pump has been running without water chances are it has to be replaced anyway. Should I buy from SeaDoo or should I look elsewhere and what kind of cost? Sound stopped when I disconnected the battery. Any ideas or similar problems?
Thx,
Dennis

I have had two issues with something similar, if it is an auto bilge + trigger switch I have had a wiring issue where the wires frayed and kept the bilge going and eventually fried the pump. And I have had the auto bilge with a flapper or something similar where a small pebble go lodged in it and kept the pump going. Of course sometimes I accidently just leave mine on with the switch. Chances of it needing replacement are usually low they are pretty simple devices. They either work or don't but it might be worth a quick trouble shoot to decide. Just check the wiring and the switch then test the bilge pump itself. Also in I think most Seadoo's even mine when I connect/disconnect the battery my bilge automatically bilges for a couple seconds then shuts off.
