Hello everyone, I have a 2007 speedster 150 . Dropped it in the water last weekend and the key would not beep at all. Tried several times and nothing. Took a pencil eraser and cleaned off contacts. Boat then started. Got it up to about 45/50 mph then a long beep sounded for about 5 seconds then stopped. Went off 2 more times in about 5 min. As I turned off motor I noticed their was no reading on depth finder.. Restarted engine twice before depth showed up. Then the sensor light came on. What do you think? Bad connection on post? Or bad sensor? Any suggestions will be appreciated. The alarm bothers me the most. Scares the hell out of you! :willy_nilly:

Which sensor light came on? (chk. engine, temp, other?)

Do you have a digital dash or analog gauges? If digital there is a way to have it display any stored engine error codes. Seems like the computer recorded some type of error and sounded the alarm, we need your help to narrow that down to a root cause. Could be many things, give us some more information and we'll do our best to help.

There is a step-by-step series of buttons you can hit to make your dash display all trouble codes stored. I found these instructions by quickly searching the internet, but yours may be different. Consult your owners manual if it does not work. Maybe someone with the same model can give you tips on how to retrieve the codes. I believe the fault code is stored but if not you may need to try and retrieve it while the alarm is going off...
