Back ground...
My brothers boat...sat in storage for a year and some change....had maybe 5 gallons of gas in it....I changed the oil/filters and then started it on land.....both engine cranked on first turn and the ran like sewing machines for 30 seconds a piece. i decided that the gas must be fine and attempted to take it out for a spin. I put in 25 gallons of new gas along with the existing 5. Got it in the lake and it ran fine for maybe 3 minutes and then i tried opening it up .......started to sputter and struggle.....figured that it was just working through some shotty fuel left in the lines. Anyway it died on me and will not re-fire. I disconnected the fuel feeds to the fuel rails and watched for flow while engine were cranked......Nothing......no flow. I would suspect that the filters in the tank are toast? Is there a Fuse for the fuel pumps that may have blown? seems odd that i would have no flow at all. Any suggestions would be much appreciated and I would like to thank anyone in advance for info.

The fuel pump powers up when you put on the lynyrd. There are two filters inside the pump assembly. that could be clogged.

xintersecty ....Thank You. Are they easily accessable within the pump assembly? I am also wondering if there is an inline solution. The Bosch 219700368 filter I found in the part manual is $28 per and I am not wanting to replace $100+ in filters just to have them clogged again by the bad gas I have left in there. In a perfect world I would just drain the gas (should have) but now that I have a fresh 25 gallons in addition to the bad 5 it is a logistical issue. Thanks again for your help!

you could always add an additional in-line filter, but I would keep the filters on the pump. They protect the pump from foreign debris that could damage it. You may find that you could clean them rater than replacing them, can't really tell until you inspect them though.

Have you verified that you have power at the pump and that it is actually turning on? That would probably be my first step before pulling it.

Here is a video from one of the forum members that may help you diagnose your fuel pump issue:

Fuses tend to be boat specific. Circuits tend to be boat specific. Join and become a premium member or go buy the manual for you boat. You will not regret it. Just listen, the fuel pump pressurizes the fuel line when you put the key on the post. If you do here that whrrrr right away, then start chasing circuits.

Took out the the fuel pumps/senders and the filter were all disintegrated. I also found that one of the fuel pumps was siezed. I am going to make another thread on what is the best course of action in concerns to fuel pump and filters as i do not want to spend $500 a side. I appreciate all of your help and would appreciate any info you may have. Thanks again!
