I want to buy a new gauge cluster for my 2007 Seadoo GTX. The part # on back is 278002216 but everything I find is 278002270. Did 278002270 replace 278002216? Also, anyone know what these 2 red circled items are for?

Yes, the 2270 replaced the 2216. The 2270 is the universal replacement for many years that will need to be flashed and then married using BUDS. The top red circle is a check valve used as a vent.

Thanks for that explanation. I see a lot of these gauge clusters (278002270) for sale on EBay. Are they recommended?

Hi. Which software needs to be used to flash the 2270 cluster?

BUDS software is dealer only but it has been pirated by foreigners if you want to buy illegal software but you will also need the hardware so plan on quite a bit of money. Cheaper to go to your local dealer.

It's not called 08 flash in BUDS but it's there. It sounds like you need to learn how to use buds better.

In BUDS program, in the cluster section, in updates - nothing seems like "08 FLASH" etc. Yes BUDS asks me if I want to write the cluster, but the cluster still in the same software.
