2007 GTI 155 Runs Without Key

Hello All,

My 2007 Gti 155 does not shut off when removing the DESS key. It needs the key to start and runs without issue. The Tach, Hour meter, and fuel gauge all work on the dash but the speed always reads 0, not sure if the speedo is a related issue. I have already replaced the DESS post with a new one and it did not fix the issue. Just trying to avoid taking it to the dealer. I appreciate any input

Thanks for the reply jake, I should have mentioned the ski has had this issue for 4-5 years and has operated otherwise normally this whole time. Would a damaged ECU last this long?

It can. Ive seen several with issues that have been like that for years. See if you can find another ecu to test against.
