Hey all,

Just getting into my first jetboat and looking for some advice.

My local dealer has a brand new 2007 Challenger SE sitting in their showroom and they have offered it to me for $25,000. I have no frame of reference so I'm looking for some opinions.

Is this a decent price? If not, what should I be looking to pay?

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

WOW! $25k for a leftover '07, that is outrageous. I work at a Sea-doo dealership in Michigan, and we have 2 leftover '08 models of that exact same boat (one blue, one gold). They are both the Challenger SE 215 models. With the current rebates, we would gladly sell one for just over cost (its winter here) Right now, I would sell either one for $18,000. It might be worth a road trip for you to drive up from Texas to save $7,000 and have a 1 year newer boat.

I bought my '08 challenger out the door for ~18k. I drove to NC to get it but was worth the weekend roundtrip drive to save big money.

I searched all the dealers in TX but couldn't find anybody that was willing to deal like some of the out of state dealerships.

I guess you have your answer. It seems that is astronomically high of a price compared to what others are paying. I would highly suggest checking out other dealerships.

Theres a dealer in Michigan that sells them cheap Boats.com. I bought mine 07 SE with 4hrs november 07 for 16,500.USD. Ebay is a good place to get a great deal. The only problem is that you have to get a good deal. So if theres a problem when you get it home. The money you saved can fix any unadvertised problems. So you have to cross your fingers that way. I purchased my boat from a dealer in Boston on Boats.com, I was lucky and the boat showed up mint as advertised! I was a little worryed while I was waiting for the boat to arrive home from my boat hauler Butch.
