Hope all are enjoying the season on the water! Can anyone advise on the contents of the older version air intake silencer box? I am assuming some type of filter inside requiring cleaning or changing to maintain optimal air flow...or is it just an empty box? Thanks all.

Take a pic and post it of what you’re looking at; I have the same boat so I’ll do the same and let you know

Thanks Lion. Nice lookin boat. Dark here, try to get a pic tomorrow once the rain lets up.
It’s the air box on the port side above the battery. Tried to pull top apart from bottom as in diagram but didn’t budge. Might be underside fasteners I can’t see.

Yeah buddy; thank you. I’m on my second post-boat-day whiskey (lots of fun but lots of work for dad when we get home), so I’ll dig in tomorrow and see if I can’t get some pics. Thanks for the diagram, helps a bunch.
Cheers!

Just got this on my seadoo/scarab FB group:

It’s epoxied together and there’s no filter or anything to service inside. It has the voltage regulator mounted in it so it gets air flow over it and the crankcase breather also utilizes that box so fumes are drawn back through the engine.

That actually makes total sense
