2007 150 speedster 215hp jet pump fluid/grease?

I replaced the impeller and wear ring and wanted to check the pump oil level before putting it back in the boat. It looks like there is an oil cap on the outside of the venturi but not one on the cone with the 3 screws. Opening it up, the inside of the pump was completely dry. Should there be oil in there or does this model just use grease that was found inside the cone.

I do believe the newer models use grease instead of oil. If there is no signs of water, just add some marine grade synthetic grease and put cone back on.
