Just bought my first seadoo boat, it is a preowned 06' in prestine condition, when I had it out for the first time it ran awesome no problems, RPM's at WOT was about 7800 according to analog tach and about 58 give or take with speedo, at idle it was about 1800 and just having it in forward no throttle it was the same and seemed to be constant at that 1800 looking down at it from time to time. I looked down at it another time and noticed that it was spiking up and down from the 1800 to 3300 and back and forth and the motor didn't sound at all like it was reving up at all from listening to motor, it did that the rest of the way through the no wake zone, when I got out of no wake I got on it and it seemed fine, ran it WOT at 7800 and when I backed off the throttle it rested back at the 1800 rpm range and seemed to be okay through out the rest of the day when I remembered to look down at it. Is 1800 rpm normal idle, and the fluctuation have anything to do with the supercharger or is there something wrong with the gage and is there something I could look at. Thanks

I think its a guage issue. Mine did similar things when I first started running my boat. My dealer said the guage gets flakey if it sits for extended periods but usually will clear up. So far that seems to be what I'm experiencing.
