Hey Gang, Im new to the seadoo club, I was wandering if anyone every had a problem with their boat not moving. I just put it in the water and when I hit the juice the pumps caveated, almost like the intake was clogged, I pulled out the boat and the inlets were clean, I put it back in and if I hit the gas to hard it would vibrate and cavatate, at 3000 rpm I get about 10mph. I pullled it out again and looked down the pump at the impellers and all looked clean, It is the seadoo speedster 200, not much of a speedster right now.
Any insight is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Jim

I almost forgot, I checked the forward to see if the gate lifted up out of the way in forward and it did as it should.

If the engine is spinning then only a few things can be wrong, based on what you do know.

Stripped shaft spline or PTO, something wrapped around the impeller or the wear ring is wiped out.

The impeller was clean, I did get some thrust, enough to creep back to the marina at 5 mph with a 8 mph head current. Would a striped spline still allow thrust? What is a pro?

It turned out to be small twiggs in the intake, could not see them even after I took of the grate, the mechanic found them. this boat seems to pick up twiggs pretty easily. Any advice on how to clear the jets?
Thanks

I've never really had a problem with twigs.... We pick up seaweed (have also gotten a t-shirt and a beer can, but those are different stories) from time to time. I have to shut the boat down, climb off the back, and pull it off by hand.
