This website has been good to me so i figured i would return. I need some knowledge further bestowed upon me.

I just recently upgraded from a 96 speedster 15' to a badass speedster 430 wake. oh my goodness is the thing awesome.

I have a few questions...

1. where can i get the owners manuel / shop manuel for it?
2. is there anything i need to be on the look out for with these boatS? i heard something about ceramic washers in the superchargers?? how would i know if this was done ? would i have to tear it down to find out?
3. my ballast is not working... i know this is kind of minor but cannot figure it out. i put the boat on the water for the first time today and could not figure out how to fill the damn thing. i had the valve in the engine compartment open, flipped the switch and could not get it to fill.... i dont know if i am leaving something out or what. when i flipped the swith i did notie that it did not light up... is it suppose to? what ould be the issue here?
4. any other tips or things you all ould tell me would be great!!!

Hi Yates,

I'm going to be picking up my lightly used 07' speedster wake 430 in two weeks. Can't wait. But to YOUR questions.

1. I've been looking with no luck. You can use the shop manual for the SC 215 from another boat. (sign up here as premium membership and you can download em).
2. I may get flamed for this but I've spoken with several BRP engineers who have assured me that ceramic washers are okay if you use the right BRP oil. There is known issues (that you've read about) with regards to the ceramic washers, my advice follow the requirments set forth by BRP and when you rebuilt your SCs why not just go stainless you'll have em' apart anyways.
3. Probably the pump, a few guys I've talked to that have this boat have had to replace them. If you don't use the ballast pump you lose it. But start with checking fuses.
4. Not that I know of ... don't have it yet.
5. Post pics of this beast we want to see it!

Yates2k5 - Nice picture....the boat is nice too :)

BMANN06 - I see you found a boat. How close to you is it?

+1 glad you got it sorted.

SDB - actually really close. Less than 100miles from my place. Isn't coming cheap though, but it's a sweet rig. 64 Hrs on it absolutely mint .... $24K though ... cough ... cough.

Very nice...Im gonna need to see some pics. I got the bike for sale...if it sells i might try to list the boat. Or wait till next year..i cant decide..lol.

Yah I'm pretty stoked, had to sell my bike. Guys picking it up this saturday. I'll for sure post some pics!

As far as the ballast pump, I didn't need to buy a whole new pump. Took it apart, motor worked fine, cleaned up impeller and housing, lubed it wth some vaseline, replaced the fuse, whirrs just fine. Bought mine just a few months ago, trying to get everything in good working order. Still gotta look to see why ICS doesn't work :-\
Bought with 165hrs on it, never had s/c worked on, but runs just fine to me! Although only got to take it out twice since buying, thinking I better go ahead and swap washers before taking out next spring, seriously considering Riva kit, if anyone has advice it'd be greatly appreciated!
Still very much a newbie though, first boat, interesting...
