I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem. The boat has no neutral. If you are at the dock and you start the boat in neutral the boat starts to move. It's not good. Brought it to the dealer and they said thats normal and they all do this. If I back it into reverse a little I can get it to almost stay in one place. Has anyone had this problem and if so what can I do...Thanks

Sadly, There is no true neutral. It is a draw back of the jet drive system. You can have it adjusted to try and "neutralize" it but putting it in reverse slightly will be just as effective. If you stand behind te boat when it is on the trailer and have someone put it in and out of reverse to forward you will see how it works. The thrust from the engine is always forward and it is redirected when this part of the drive swings down over the jet drive.

A quick adjustment to the reverse cable linkage at the reverse gate will help you. Adjust it one, maybe two turns so the gate drops a little more than it used to in neutral. It might take a couple tries to get it right.

MAKE SURE you leave enough clearance when the shifter is in the forward position (clearance between the jet and the gate) or the water coming out of the jet will slam the gate back down.

I just did this with mine and now I have no go-go in neutral...very nice.

EVERY seadoo boat does this id just leave it alone cause i see its forsale... If you do adjust it be carefull cause if you adjust the bucket down to much it can affect your forward cause it wont retract up all the way and lock. I was going to ajust mine but they all come from the factory like this and after docking it a couple times i got use to it.
