How much should I pay for this boat if it's been in saltwater? It's advertised as $23500, but I think it should be lower due to being used in saltwater. Am I wrong about this?

It's the supercharged 430hp

Id be leary to buy a saltwater boat. BUT if this price was right and it had low hours id look at it. If that boat is mint id pay 20,000 for it. How many hours on it and what kinda of maintenance was done as far as salt water use? I looked everywhere for a wake edition 200 and had no luck finding one close to 20 grand. So i settled for a regular 200 with a tower...also got it for 10,000 though.

I asked and was told it was used mainly in freshwater. If I decide to get it, I'll have a mechanic check it over first. I was thinking of offering around 19K.

It has less than 90 hours. Can't believe you found a 200 for 10 grand. Which color? Let me know what you think of it compared to the 98.

Did you sell your 98?

Yeah i sold the 98 for 7800 and found a red 2004 200 for 10,000. So i couldnt really turn it down. I found it in TX. If i wuold have found an 06 wake for 18 though i would have been all over it. I did see one out west somewhere but dont remember where....i think it was like 20ish. i offered 17500 and didnt get a reply.

Less than 90 hours? id definitely check it out.

As far as comparing it to the 98...i havent had it out yet...but it really just looks like a jacked up version of the 98. almost identical layout. But the thing that you will notice most...its only 3 feet longer...but overall the boat looks twice the size. its huge...more like a normal boat..lol

Did you drive to Texas to get it or did you have it shipped?

I have not seen any 2004 for close to 10 grand and in good shape. There's one in Indy for $12500, but the seats are duct taped and that's never good. I've been wanting a blue 200 for awhile now. I never liked the wake edition decals and colors until I saw one on the lake last summer. It was incredible!! Now I have to have one if I can find it.

I had it shipped using ship. i emailed the one in indy and the guy wasnt very eager to move on price. But i know another guy who hs been talking to that guy and has him talked down some.

With uship, you basically make an ad with your information about the load and where pickup and drop off is. Then people bid on it. I had several bids from 1000-1200. I got lucky and had a guy do it for 700 though. He was already taking a shipment to oklahoma and had to pick up a boat in KY to take back to FL...so i was along the route he was already going. He told me if i needed him again or know someone who did to pass along his direct contact info. He just towed it back..most shippers will just tow boats, some will put it on a flat bed.

That was a good deal to find. If I buy a boat out of state, I could use a shipper. Send me his contact info if you would please.
