2006 seadoo challenger

Any ideas what this might be? Idles fine, runs fine first 5 minutes before it gets warm. Happens at about 4K RPMS, not at WOT or idle.

This is crazy, my 06 Challenger just did this today for the first time ever. Was out for about 8 mins, boat was up to temp and stable according to Candoo, running around 6500rpm and then this noise happened. Shut her down, no alerts/codes. Fired back up and had no issues in the 5mins getting back home. Subscribing!!

I was able to get an appointment at a shop to get it looked at so I will update with any findings.

I got a chance to crawl under the boat this afternoon…I found the impeller shaft in the jet intake was wrapped in a bunch of weeds and grass plus a couple small bits caught between the impeller and wear ring.

Got it all cleaned out but I have not taken it back out since nor am I sure that could have caused the noises (throwing the impeller out of balance??) The impeller and ring look in fine shape.

That could certainly be your problem. I’ve pulled the pump and checked everything on my boat. But it still makes that noise.
