2006 RXP issues

Today was first day out with it.
100 hours on the RXP, recent serviced etc. Speedo didnt work. Just registers a ZERO. Temp gauge, tach all work fine. Cleaned the 4 pin plug behind it -nothing.

2nd issue. VTS worked fine for an hour then decided to to only go down
( switch) Waited for a while and it worked put it back at 3/4 up and didnt touch it. Got home and its still doesnt go up just down.

Battery held a charge, fuses look good. etc. Other than that the RXP hauled major ass, used 3/4 tank fuel for about 4 hours on the lake.

Okay I solved the speedo issue. The little wheel on the rear was not aligned and stuck. It operates fine and shows on the speedo. Still havent figured out why the VTS is not working.

Well, after pulling the cover off the VTS, I see the prblem. The gasket was squished and ddidnt seal, letting in water etc. The motor is corroded, small pebbles and muck. Its toast. So time to find the best price for a new motor. Any tips on R & R the unit?
