Hi I have a 2006 4 tec non sc
32 hours on it
I was on the water and decideto put it on reverse felt funny didn't want to came back to forward position
when for a ride and motor was lack of power at full throttle I was like 30 mph and rpms around 5k sounded like when you are on learning key
I dont know if it was on limp mode or not
I stay on full throttle for 45 seconds too see if it gets better and for a second or 2 it will be fine running strong then again lack of power
It did it a couple of times until I decide something was wrong
I was going in circles and again running fine for a few seconds then lack of power again
Took of seats noticed had water in the hull like 2 inches deep
Reverse cable lock nut broke letting water in hull
After I drain the water on the trailer I start it and it sound good I rev it and rpm was going 7500 or a little more sounded good
Will water in hull will make it go in to limp mode ?

Or I have to problems ?
Thanks alot in advance

No, water in the hull will not cause Limp mode. But I bet you had a lot more water than you think and the weight was enough to slow you down. When you move forward water empties from the hull. I bet you emptied a lot of water before you looked under the seat.

I'm thinking you had enough water in the hull that it was touching wires and creating an issue.

Hopefully man
i order the aluminum nuts
Ill keep it this updated
I didn't use it for 3 years
But I start the engine every other month for like 10 15 seconds and ill rev it once or twice to make sure everything was good
i don't want to think is fuel issues
I pull the old gas and put brand new gas
Hopefully is one problem not 2
thanks again

Until you get the nut and seal the known issue, it is pretty much all you can do. Fix it and go for a ride,,,

You were right Man thanks alot for giving me a piece of mind that night i sleep better that night :)
I change both lock nut change the spark plugs
And I When for a ride
the ski was running like new again
thanks again man
