2006 GTI any good?

Saw a local ad for a 2006 GTI, are these any good? What to look for when I go check it out? How does it compare to a 95 GTX which is what I have now (besides it's a four stroke)

Solid 1503 engine. Manual reverse. Expect the glove box latch to be broken.
