Hi, i have opened the engine for a complete rebuilt.
Tested the engine on the boat seams to run fine a idle of 2000RPM.

Well i had only put about 5L of 10W40 oïl and the dipstik seams a a bit overfull...
Over the seadoo parts manual they said it had to have 12 X 1L of 10W40 oïl...

Is is really that ?????
12L seams really a lot of oïl....

Also is 2000RPM at idle fine ? it runs fine with a nice idle but stay a 2000RPM.
Sould it be 1800 ? Could it be the timing not set perfectly ?

Thanks !

Pretty sure it takes 4 quarts on a new engine but you can only get about 3.2 quarts out on a oil change. You want the oil right in the middle of the 2 marks on the dip stick with the boat being level.

Yea it's about 4 quarts. Usually a little less if you're just doing an oil change.
