Hi to everybody, i have a serius problem with my challenger 180 4-tec supercharger, but i am not in USA to take it to a sea doo dealer, so if anyone can help me anything it will work. here is the problem:

1 -some how the pump support insert(part number 204120305) had only 1 of the 3 screw and got loose and went in to the impeller and block it

2 - it did a realy hard noise but the engine was still running but i turned off, i took i look and saw that the carbon ring and the below(part number 272000177 and 272000183) of the drive shaft were missing and there was motor oil everywhere

i need help about, when this happen ,what do you think it got damage?, and what parts do i have to order to repair it.

Post in the boat section

First off u need to find where the oil came from. Nothing in the propulsion system holds oil. Are u sure that it was a bolt that u sucked in? Sounds like maybe your supercharger grenaded if all the oil is in the hull. Does your impellar look messed up? Give everything a look and document for us what things look like.

thanks for the answer

well yes it was a bolt, a black piece that is under the boat and still there holdind the first impellar, the impellar looks good but just with that piece of plastic blocking it, part of the Compressor Housing (the cover) it got hit by something but i don´t think thats the problem its a minor hit, i can send you some pictures to see if you can help me, can you tell me if i have to take out the jet pump in the back and take out the engine to change all the drive shaft parts?

No you do not have to take the engine out to repair the drive system. But your first concern should be to find where the oil came from. It may be possible the shaft took out the shaft seal but only you will be able to tell.

So are you saying the black piece came loose and is wedged in the impellar now? Maybe some pictures would help.

check engine light it is on

Hi men i wanted to thank you for the help in the pass, i want to tell you that i took the engine out and saw all the damage, i had to buy a new drive shaft and impeller and some other parts, also had to change the PLAIN BEARING HALF of the crakshaft, i did put every together and did start the engine outside the water doing all the procedure to do so, but the check engine it´s on all the time, what do yo think it is? do i have to do anything to reset something?
