Can I get an experienced comparison on these 2 boats when it comes to pulling a wakeboarder and or waterski out of deep water and fuel consumtion on the 2. I had the 2001 Challenger 2000 240HP 2 stroke and sold it and am considering the 2006 Challenger 180cs but dont know if I am going to be power challenged.
The 240 2 stroke got us up but was a challenge to keep the wakeboarder on a constant speed and would go through about 10 gallons every time we took it out in about 4 hours with 3 people boarding. Maintenance was low on this boat being a 2 stroker and very little went wrong in the 8 years I had it. Jet wash was a bit of an annoyance on the challenger 2000 so how is the jet wash on the 180 in comparison?
Also what to look out for on the rotax motors when I go see it would be helpful. This one has about 80 hours on it so super charger may be ready for rebuild? Thanks forum members.
