2005 Vs 2006

Looking at a 2005 Speedster 200, owner says it has the 215hp intercooled engines. I've searched and searched and have not found one single example of this. 2005 was the twin 185hp engines.

It is a red one and certainly shows the 430hp decal on the rear.


do these exist or is he just wrong?

I'm waiting on engine pics and the HIN.

I have a 2005 Speedster 200 and I think this was around the time things were changing over. While the motors are 185hp, I have found that the shaft and a number of the other parts are for the 215hp size. I have not see any 2005's with the 215 motors but I think things were being prepared for the change over.

Take a look at BRP's parts site: http://epc.brp.com. It does indicate a SC model for 2005 Speedster 200.

the 185hp is a SC engine, just not the intercooled 215hp engines.

well shoot, he just sent me a pic and they most certainly are the intercooled engines. You can clearly see the intercooler and hoses on both.

I called a local dealer and they ran the HIN and nothing came back. No mistake on the HIN, I have the pic of it. Not real sure what to think about that.
