2005 sportster fuel baffle

How do you know the entire baffle needs to be replaced? The float is replaceable and is the usual suspect versus the baffle itself and there are test procedures to determine the cause of failure if you haven't done so already consult the service manual first those complete baffle assemblies are pricey and it's not likely you need one.
 
It's reading out of ohm range up to 150.ohms so.makes computer think it's low on fuel beep beep... have it at a guys with 30 years experience. .. need an assembly no pump..
