Need help please. I am hearing a terrible noise and vibration coming from my left engine. Boat seems to run strong with no alarms but making terrible noise and vibration. I need suggestion on how to fix this problem. Thanks.

I had same issue all of a sudden a few weeks ago & had to run home on one engine. When I pulled out I could see a small piece of wood in the pump/impeller. I was actually able to clear most of it & it ran fine after half way home. I think the combination of driving with that one engine off & then reversing with it off may have allowed it to flush some water through it & get the jammed portion out. What was left was @ the very back of the jet & was no longer an issue. When I got home I pulled the pump & simply spinning the impeller backwards freed the rest of the debris. No damage to the wear ring or impeller thankfully

How do you go about pulling the pump?

To inspect the pump, get a flashlight and go look into the jet nozzle on the rear of the boat. Look for anything wedged in there (wood, rocks, plastic, rope, etc). Then get under the boat and look inside the intake grate (inlet side of pump) and look for the same. If you see anything you'll need to clear it out.

To remove the pump, try this video

While it's not for a boat, it's the next best thing. Pump is super easy to remove and as a jetboat owner it's something you should know how to do. I think it's like 6 bolts total per motor.
