I finally got my Seadoo up and running correct but now I have a new issue. I just got back from my first trip to the lake and the engine ran good but the boat would not go over 20mph. It acts like a slipping clutch on a car. When you first get on the gas it will just up to go and then the RPM rev to 5000 and it does not go any faster. it feels like an outboard engine with a slipping prop hub. So what needs fixing now?

Chances are... the carbon seal on the drive shaft is leaking. When it draws air in... you loose thrust.

OR... there is major damage to the pump. But normally, what you are describing comes from the carbon seal.

You will want to get a new boot, Carbon ring, and the 2 O-rings for inside the stainless ring. BUT... take it apart before ordering parts. If your stainless ring is warped, or warn... you will want to replace it too.

As far as "Where to get the parts"... you can order them from our sponsor (the parts tab at the top) or your local dealer.

does anyone sell a complete kit so I can just buy everything in one shot? I would hate to take it apart and find out I need an O-ring or seal and I have to stop and wait 3-5 days for something.

I got a kit for this from SBT www.shopsbt.com . The actual job is pretty straight forward, you have to remove the jet pump completely from the boat to do it.
