The problem is when i start it, it runs for a couple minutes and then it dies. after recharging the battery, it starts again but does the same thing. looks like its not charging the battery or something else might be wrong. . need some advice thanks alot

How old is the battery? I would have it LOAD tested at like Auto Zone for free to see if it has all good cells. If the battery has a couple bad cells it will say it has a full 12 volts but not enough amps to start or run the seadoo properly.

Rectifier?

Charge the battery. Start the ski. If the ski starts, use a multi-meter to test the output of the magneto and regulator.

With the ski at rest, your battery should have slightly above 12 volts DC. When you start the ski, you should see a charge being sent to the battery, measuring between 14 to 14.5 volts DC.

If you see no change in the battery voltage between off and run, the regulator/rectifier is bad and will need to be replaced.

We have this part in the SeadooWarehouse, at the top right hand side of the page. Look under electrical parts for the year and make of your ski. http://www.seadoowarehouse.com/
