2005 RXT only pulling 5000rpm

Seadoo rxt 2005. Last week was fine, pulling 8000 + rpm and getting up to 65mph .. then all of a sudden would only do 5000rpm and 40mph. Check engine warning light came on. Was stuttering at 5000 rpm. Took it out of water and left for a couple of days(checked spark plugs, coolant levels, no pipes loose), and put back in water yesterday. No warning light and ran fine for 1 hour!! Then did the same?? Any ideas?

Take of the air intake hose on the supercharger and do the fingertip test. If you can move the impeller of the supercharger with fingertip pressure, you probably have to rebuild the supercharger. I just had similar issue on my Challenger boat, supercharger was bad.
