2005 rxp only starts with lerners key

hey guys no too long ago i got this 2005 rxp flooded, i took it to a shop and got it working again, the problem is that it only works with the lerners key, can anybody tell me could be the problem and how to fix it? i would highly appreciate it.
i live in Honduras and the resources here are limited about seadoo parts and program lanyard keys

The lanyards are programmed to the MPEM. Bottom line is, either the other key has failed or lost its program. You will need to get it reprogrammed assuming it is not a defective key and will accept the program. When doing so, take all your keys so they can be programmed at the same time and will work for you. Anyone with a Candoo computer can do it and dealers as well. If you were in the USA we have members that do it and it is pretty cheap.

No problem at all.. Sadly your location is such that I can not give you guidance as to where to get service. If you can't find anything, as I said we have members here in the USA that own the machine and will program a key for like $25.00.

Your issue would be freight I would think...

Yes, but you will need to send the MPEM as well as that is what they get mated to.

I think [MENTION=41828]Minnetonka4me[/MENTION] is doing reprograms. Let me do a search to confirm..

Thanks for the rep Joe, but unfortunately I cant program 4stroke keys. I can program all 2 strokes including the jetboats, but the 4strokes must be connected to BUDs or a newer diagnostic programmer.

I ship worldwide, so that isnt an issue....they just switched to the buds in the 2000s and quit making updates for the handheld.

The candoo can do it...it might be a reasonable option for the OP. The personal one will work with up to 4 machines for like $400, unlimited is like $1750.

after $335 and a trip to a small BRP shop i finally got a landyard key program, thanks coastie joe for all your help
