2005 Islandia max rpm?

I just purchased an 2005 Islandia and I been reading the specs on an 250 optimax and they claim that the max h.p. is obtained at 6000 rpm but I run about 5500 rpm is this normal for that boat?

Depending on the weight of the loaded boat, it can be normal to see a slightly lower than max RPM.
