I just bought this boat yesterday. Took it out on the water and in my opinion, it seems something is limiting its full potential. It struggled to even pull a kneeboarder and there was only 2 people on the boat!.

I have never had a jet drive and i don't know anything about it. The fuel gauge seems to be bad as its indicating empty but confirmed its full visually. The oil pressure red light is on and i think that may be causing the constant buzzing sound. I lifted the engine cover and noticed that on the port side there is a larger oil reservoir that seems to be very close to empty. Should this be full? Could that be causing the pressure light and alarm? Also, could that alarm and light be caused by the clearly broken fuel gauge? the fuel and oil light share the same guage.

Someone said that these boats will throw themselves into a sort of "safe mode" restricting power if something is wrong? not sure if thats true or not.

I want to be able to enjoy this boat and i can overlook some of the minor problems and replace items like gauges or switches but i don't want to break or damage the motor with oil issues.

Can someone please help. I also cant find any good source for parts and or how-to's on this boat. Did i get screwed?

So thats how low this was. I have filled it up and the constant buzzer seems to have stopped. I havent taken it back out to the lake yet but it seems to be running great. peaks out at around 6000rpm.

Regarding your gas gauge reading low… it very well could be the gauge, but more then likely it’s the float mechanism in the gas tank.

I don’t think Bombardier sells those gauges new any more, but there are various aftermarket ones available.

It looks like you have sand covering everything in your bilge. Remember these engines have no air filter of any kind. It would be a good idea to wash all that sand out of your bilge so it does not get drawn into the engine.

There is no oil level sensor on the main tank. Only on the small header tank. Yes, the large tank should be full. That maintains the header tank, which feeds the oil pump.

Crawl under the boat and look up into the tunnel. Look for damage to leading edges of impeller and gouges to the wear ring (surrounding impeller).

Gauges show up on ebay sometimes. Some sellers try to get new retail prices.
